FreePlaySports

Damnit. I had the idea for FreeplaySports something like five years ago and didn’t do a flippin’ thing about. Basic pitch, provide an evite-like sign-up sheet for pick-up sports.

Sure, given the state of the advertising marketing, I’ve no clue how they’re going to actually make money on this thing, but providing a easy way to find pick-up games is just good karma… a little exercise… a little networking… getting away from that accursed flat panel monitor for a few hours.

Personally, a majority of my connections in the Silicon Valley have come from playing roller hockey with folks. It’s better than golf… and not just because you get to hit people with sticks.

If you leave off a specific sport and just search by state, it's useful for finding things nearby that you might be interested in, but hadn't considered.

Thanks!
